Relaunch of Jio AirFiber: Enjoy Super-Fast Streaming and Gaming on September 19
During the 2023 Annual General Meeting, Mukesh Ambani, the chief of Reliance Industries, announced that Jio AirFiber, a high-speed wireless internet service designed for homes and offices, will be launched on September 19. This service will enable users to enjoy seamless video calls, play online games, and stream HD videos with exceptional speed.
Jio AirFiber Price and Features
Jio AirFiber is expected to be priced around Rs. 6,000. It might be a bit more expensive than regular internet as it comes with a portable device.
Jio AirFiber vs Jio Fiber
Here is the difference between Jio AirFiber and Jio Fiber. Jio Fiber uses cables to create internet while Jio AirFiber uses wireless signals to connect directly to your home or office. This means it is not dependent on cables and depends on the clear signal from Jio Towers.
Jio AirFiber offers faster internet connection up to 1.5 Gbps which is more than Jio Fiber 1 Gbps speed. However, the actual speed may vary depending on how close you are to the nearest tower.
Jio Fiber does not cover all places in India, but Jio AirFiber, thanks to its wireless technology, can reach more areas without the limitation of cables.
Jio AirFiber vs Airtel Xstream AirFiber
Both Jio AirFiber and Airtel Xstream AirFiber come with modern Wi-Fi 6 technology routers that offer advantages over the older Wi-Fi 5 technology. This means they offer faster speeds, less lag and more coverage for your internet needs. However, the speed you get from both depends on the network coverage in your area, as both use 5G connections via SIM cards.
Both Jio and Airtel offer apps for Android and iOS users to manage subscriptions and router settings. These apps include features such as parental controls, connection restrictions, and tips for finding the best internet spot at home or in the office.
Currently, Airtel Xstream AirFiber promises 100Mbps speed with its 6-month plan priced at Rs. 7,733.
